5 Reasons to Buy From a New Car Dealer

The ol' hoopty is on it's last leg. Now what? Do you scan the internet & local classifieds for your preferred vehicle, or do you stop by your neighborhood dealer and see what they have in stock?

While you can still scan the internet to make sure you are getting a good price on the vehicle you are looking for, your best bet is to go to someone who knows cars--like a dealer.

5 Reasons to Buy From a New Car Dealer

1) You have the choice to buy New or Used vehicles. Oftentimes, there are customer rebates and incentives you may not know about that could make buying a new car affordable. If you opt for used or "pre-owned," you are going to be looking at vehicles that have most likely been through the shop (meaning they have made sure they are mechanically sound) and thoroughly washed and detailed, inside & out. Alternatively, buying "off the street" means you run the risk of a car that may need
some work
and may cost you more in the long run--not to mention the presence of dog hair or leftover French fries. Ew.

2) Licensing: Dealers will do the work for you! No need to wait in line in the drudgery of the DMV! When your license plates are ready, the dealer will either notify you they are in or, in some instances, mail them to you if you are from out of town.

3) Trade-In: You can trade in your current vehicle without having to worry about selling it yourself and having people you don't know test-drive your car. No Buenos. You can also take advantage of the sales tax credit (Example: If I trade-in a car worth $5,000 and purchase a car for $10,000---I only pay sales tax on the $5,000, or the difference).

4)  Relationships: This world is built on relationships. If you get to know a salesperson, you can eliminate the unknown for the next time. Plus, the salesperson can notify you when a vehicle you want is in or let you know of specials going on. They can be a person you can rely on for vehicle advice or refer you to a good dent-removal place, etc. They can also be a person to whom you can send your friends and family. Who doesn't need that peace of mind?

5) Service Center: Once you have established a relationship with a salesperson, it'll make coming in for regular vehicle service that much easier. As opposed to Joe's Mechanic shop down the street, New Car dealers are equipped with diagnostic technology and machinery that is specific to fixing your vehicle--not to mention factory-trained technicians and factory parts. You want someone who knows what they are doing fiddling with your vehicle. You wouldn't take your dog to the pediatrician would you?
